Comets FC Defend Home Territory

A cold night in Joplin, Mo with Comets FC's first home game of the season. They take on Tulsa's Side FC on this very windy and cold night. Games starts with teams starting off possession. Comets FC start out hot with possession and put the pressure on Side FC. Ten minutes go buy, Quinn Grantham makes a solo run down the line, gets to the box and beat the defender, he puts it in the box and the ball bounces off the defender. Henry Hernandez shoots and scores! Comets FC go up 1-0 leading into the half. Second half starts and the wind is not in Comets FC's favor. Side FC controlled majority of the possession while setting a high press on Comets FC and had some chances. Comets FC go up on the counter and Jorge Guevara beats three players inside the box, passes it along side the box and off the bench Benjamin Smith secures a goal! Last 5 minutes of the game Steven Solano comes into the game and first touch of the ball sends in a cross into the box for Quinn Grantham to head the ball in high and score and secure the win for Comets FC. The atmosphere and the fans were amazing for the first home game of the season. We would like to thank everyone that came to support and can't wait to see you at the next one!
